The Navy holds first training for helicopter and seaplane squadrons

September 7, 2014 (PANO)  - The Navy on September 6th opened a training course to fly Helicopter EC-225 and DHC-6 Twin Otter Squadrons under the Navy’s Brigade 954 for its Naval Air Force troops for the first time in areas of Hai Phong city and Quang Ninh province.
Present at the training was Rear Admiral Dinh Gia That, Commissar of the Navy, and Rear Admiral Le Minh Thanh, Deputy Commander of the Navy.Apart from taking off and landing on different terrains, the two squadrons’ pilots associated with some other contents as scheduled. All of them fulfilledthe course’s requirements.The event’s results once more proved professionalism and capacity of the two units’ troops, meeting the demand of task of firmly defending national sovereignty over sea and islands in the new context.
