Navy League To Honor Industry, Navy, Financial, Civic Leaders At 113th Annual Dinner In New York City March 19

New York March 16, 2015 - Four prominent national leaders, including the U.S. Navy's second highest-ranking officer and the founder of a leading alternative investment firm, will be honored by the New York Council of the Navy League of the United States at its 113th Annual Dinner here on March 19.

The four are:

  • Admiral Michelle J. Howard, U.S. Navy, vice chief of naval operations;
  • Jay L. Johnson, Admiral, U.S. Navy (Ret'd), former U.S. Navy chief of naval operations and former chairman and CEO of General Dynamics Corp.;
  • Gregory E. Sancoff, president and CEO of Portsmouth, N.H.-based Juliet Marine Systems, Inc.; and
  • Anthony Scaramucci, founder and co-managing partner, SkyBridge Capital, a global alternative investment firm with approximately $13 billion in assets under management and advisement.

"We are extremely pleased to recognize these individuals," stated Theodore T. Mason, president of the New York Council.  "They represent the finest qualities of leadership in their respective areas, and have significantly contributed to the nation and the nation's sea services."

Admiral Howard will receive the New York Council's Distinguished Service Award; retired Admiral Johnson, its Lifetime Achievement Award; Mr. Sancoff, its Technological Achievement Award; and Mr. Scaramucci, its Leadership Award.
