September 28, 2015 - The frigate ‘Almirante Juan de Borbón’ (F-102) set sail on Monday from Ferrol towards Faslane (Scotland) to participate in exercise ‘Joint Warrior 152’. It is a UK-programed exercise conducted by land forces, warships, submarines and aircraft from allied nations.
After the scheduled port of call in Faslane for coordination purposes, the F-102 will take part in different conventional and asymmetric warfare drills with cyberattacks to test the Command and Control systems of the different units.
The international exercises ‘Joint Warrior 152’ recreate complex scenarios where land, air and naval units train in tactics and interoperability to subsequently be able to integrate into multinational Combat Groups.
The exercise contemplates a myriad of scenarios including crisis and conflict situations, territorial disputes, terrorist activities and pirate attacks.
