The event, biannually hosted by the Indonesian Naval Force since 2014, aims to strengthen friendship, build mutual truth, and improve naval collaboration between participating countries to deal with maritime issues.
Under the theme "Readiness and Cooperation for Peace," the exercise will cover UN peacekeeping operations at sea, humanitarian aid, and disaster relief. Participants this year will include 48 ships and 20 planes from the host country and its 15 partners, including Vietnam.
In addition to the naval exercise, participating delegations will also join other events. There will be a marine exhibition, the inauguration of a dove-shaped peace monument, a banquet, sports competitions, a street festival, and other events.
Vietnam's ship will arrive in Padang city, Indonesia on April 11th and officially join the event from April 12th through April 16th.
