July 13, 2016 - Annexation of the Crimea, Ukraine crisis, strengthening of the IS, the cruel terrorist attacks of Paris, Brussels, failing states, refugee crisis - the world is in turmoil all around us. Beyond current crises and conflicts our world is changing and with it the security environment profoundly.
Germany is more than ever under these circumstances. And our country will make the international security policy actively, is ready early, decisively and bring substantial. This commitment, which was submitted to the Munich Security Conference in 2014 and has since lived practice is documented security policy cultural change in our country.
The White Paper on German Security Policy and the Future of the Bundeswehr answered questions about the motives, interests and priorities that guide international action of our country. It creates links for all departments of the Federal Government, so that they can develop their instruments to that effect. And it describes what steps is the Bundeswehr to continue to make significant contributions to the security of Germany and its allies, as well as international stability.
